Daniel Slater Joins Spartan Motors as President of Emergency Response

CHARLOTTE, Mich., Jan. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Spartan Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAR) (“Spartan” or the “Company”) announced that Daniel Slater has joined the Company as President of its Emergency Response business, effective January 5, 2015.  He will report to Daryl Adams, Spartan’s incoming President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Slater was most recently Vice President and General Manager of Terex Cranes, Inc., a manufacturer of rough terrain cranes, truck cranes and boom trucks with annual revenues of approximately $500 million.  Prior to joining Terex Cranes, he was President of the Manufacturing Performance Solutions group of RWD, Inc., a management consulting and training firm.  He held manufacturing management positions for BMW Manufacturing Corporation and Toyota Motor Manufacturing USA and Volkswagen of America.
