Spartan Chassis Unveils New Innovations

Introduces Mid-Engine Chassis to Entry Level Diesel Market

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Innovation and premium
value, two of Spartan Chassis’ defining features, will be unveiled on its
latest chassis products at the 42nd Annual National RV Trade Show in
Louisville, Kentucky today.

Spartan Chassis, a subsidiary of Spartan Motors, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAR),
announced that its innovative mid-engine design is now available on the entry-
level diesel chassis, the Spartan NVS. It is powered by a 330 horsepower
engine and has a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 28,000 pounds. The
chassis’ exact weight balance with the engine in the middle offers an
exceptionally comfortable ride and precise handling, while also giving RV body
builders new floor plan options, including a garage for toys or an extra room
in the rear of the coach.

“Spartan is introducing some very exciting new products and features that
will make an already great RVing experience on a Spartan chassis even better,”
said Richard Schalter, president of Spartan Chassis.

The latest Spartan Chassis systems and components for the current model
year will also be on display on the Spartan Innovation Chassis and
demonstrated through a video display. They include:

— Exceptional steering geometry, which provides a 57 degree wheel cut on
the 1260 independent front suspension — a rating that is unmatched by any
other chassis manufacturer in the industry today.

— The 1460 IFS, which has a wheel cut of 55 degrees while loaded to
maximum capacity.

— The chassis service center, which simplifies chassis maintenance with
the filters and fluid systems mounted at the rear side of the chassis for easy
access.

— The new ASC parallelogram rear suspension system eliminates steering
vibration and enhances vehicle stability.

— Spartan’s new heavy-duty tow hitch, a first-of-its-kind chassis-
integrated design, allowing RVers to tow up to 15,000 pounds.

Additional systems are featured at the Spartan booth (#6013).

Spartan will also have its high-end K2 chassis on display demonstrating
the unique-to-Spartan RV leveling system. The predictive air leveling system
automatically levels the coach even in soft terrain campsites or parking lots
that prohibit jacks, a first in the RV industry. This feature is available on
Spartan’s most popular custom chassis models.
